How the program works

Your course consists of three main elements:

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa1. Training Manual
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa2. Five CDs
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa3. Console Training Poster

They are all fully integrated into one single, easy learning experience

Sounds speak louder than words
As you study your training manual, you reach "flagstops." These are like "Stop-and-Listen Buttons." Whenever you reach one of these flagstops, you stop reading and listen to a particular track on one of the five CDs. This track lets you hear exactly what you have just been reading about in a way that makes the printed word come alive.
You read, you listen, and now you see
As you are listening to the audio on the CD, you look at the Console Training Poster. All the control knobs and switches are set in the exact positions to reflect what you are hearing and also what you have just been reading about.
When the CD track is finished, you return to your training manual and continue reading until you reach the next "flagstop."

What could be easier?
It's as close as hands-on training can get
without having a full scale recording studio in front of you.

Don't be skeptical! This is a dynamic course. Written by a real teacher -- not an internet geek with little real-world recording experience.
And if something is unclear -- you just ask your personal instructor.
Why don't my recordings sound like "radio music?"
Even if you've memorized every single page in the manual that came with your recording program, and even if you know how to work and operate that program, you will never be able to equal the quality of sound that you hear on "radio records." Do you wonder why? Without the knowledge and information that is in our course, your recordings will never sound like "radio music."

Those horrible software manuals
Most of those manuals aren't worth the paper they're printed on. They barely instruct you how to operate the program. They do not tell you how to make good music. WE DO BOTH! For a fraction of the cost of resident schools. No ridiculous prices.

The best advice is from somebody who has done it
If you still don't believe you can become a thoroughly trained recording engineer or music producer from taking a home-study course, just read what some of our graduate students say about AIA's program. See where our training has led them and what they have accomplished in their audio careers.
How long does it take?
On average, most students take about 3 to 4 months to complete their course and receive their Diploma. But there is absolutely no time limit. You can take as long as you wish and learn at your own pace. Because the AIA program is a home study course, you do not have to quit your job or change your schedule. You may study when you want without interrupting your life or family responsibilities. You can start your training at any time. The sooner you start, the sooner you'll be making great recordings!
Fast forward to a fun gig. . .THE
